How does the Lead Feed work?

The Lead Feed is where you will find all of the leads on HeadBox and details of their event. You will have created filters to refine the leads you see, but right now, let’s run through the different features of the Lead Feed.

Filter drop-down:

If you click the drop-down button on the left side of the Lead Feed you will find all the filters you have set up, and can manually go through them all to see the leads that match their requirements.

+ Icon

If you select the plus (+) icon on the left side of the Lead Feed, you can see more information about the event. For example, the guests’ timing flexibility, the venue style they are looking for, facilities they need/desire, and catering requirements. These details are here to help you work out if the lead is right for you.

View options

On the top right-hand corner of the Lead Feed you will see a button that says “View options”. Here you can choose how you want to sort your leads (from most recent to best fit to highest budget), which leads you want to view (e.g. good fit only leads or starred leads), and which leads you want to hide (e.g. leads you aren’t interested in).

General details

For each lead that comes through to the Lead Feed, you’ll be able to see the name of the event and the event type (e.g. corporate meeting vs personal party), the location where they want the venue to be, the number of guests, their budget and their timings and flexibility.

We now have an algorithm that works out if a lead in the Lead Feed is a good, average, or poor fit for your venue. Learn more about the algorithm here. The aim is that you will go after the leads that are most likely to convert to a match and leave the ones that are unlikely to convert. You have 45 minutes early access to leads that are a good fit for your venue before it is live to less relevant venues!

Responses closed

You will sometimes notice that the response option is closed where you can express interest in an event. This is because the maximum number of enquiries that a guest can receive is 15. Once they receive 15 messages from hosts, you will not be able to message them until the guest has declined a venue. This does not mean you’ve lost the opportunity! If you come across a lead that looks perfect for your venue, please star the lead to add it to your favourites and then you can check later on if it’s available to message by going to View options >  show only > starred leads.

Starring leads is also a great way to save a venue if you don’t have time to message them immediately, and want to go back to it later on.

Interested in a lead?

If you’re interested in a lead, you can send them a message by selecting “I’m available” on the right-hand side of the Lead Feed. More information on sending a message can be found here. If you do not think that the lead is a good fit for your venue, you can select that you’re “not interested” to remove the lead from your view.
