Here are some of our top tops to increase your matches on the Lead Feed.
📷 A picture paints a thousand words.
Put yourself in the perspective of the guest. Would you want to match with a venue that had bad pictures? Remember, guests can view up to 15 venues simultaneously. If your picture isn’t great, it’s unlikely that they will even open your message to see what you have to offer. Read our top tips for taking good photos here.
✏️ Set up your templates.
Ensure you have a few saved templates that you can personalise and send quickly to leads. A well-crafted message can help you secure more matches, and templates allow you to send messages swiftly, rather than writing from scratch. Read more about creating a good template here.
🏃 Be snappy!
Aim to keep your messaging time under 24 hours—the quicker, the better, as older enquiries are less likely to convert. Remember that responses close after the lead has received 15 messages.
🤔 Is the lead actually relevant?
If your venue is a good fit for the lead, it should meet most of the lead’s requirements in terms of event type, style, facilities, location, budget, and capacity. If it is a poor fit and you find that you cannot meet most of their requirements, it’s less likely to convert.
Stick to a routine.
The Lead Feed works best when used proactively, so we recommend sending 2-3 messages per day and using the platform 5 days a week. That’s around 40-60 messages per month. These recommendations are based on findings in London. If your venue is in a different city, there may be fewer leads available. In this case, try to send as many relevant messages as possible.
