Making the most out of Lead Feed!

What's Lead Feed?

The Lead Feed is a proactive sales tool that allows you to cherry-pick the leads you're interested in. However, you'll often be up against other venues, so take a look at our tips below to see how you can make the Lead Feed work for you.

3 Easy steps to help get the most out of Lead Feed

Follow these steps ✅ to get set up with Lead Feed and find your future customers 🤑

1. How to make a great first impression  👋

Don't let an out of date listing get in the way of you converting

Great photos of your venue (or even better a 3D tour), an optimised description that sells your benefits and relevant attachments. These all help users understand why your venue will be perfect for their event.

2. Stay ahead of the competition  🚀

Set up alerts to be the first to react to fresh leads.

Create an alert so you are notified every time a new lead that matches your preferences drops into the feed.

You can also filter your feed by event type, capacity and budget so you'll only ever see the leads that are right for you.  Try it!

3. Get your messaging right  ✉️

Get out what you put in – we expect 10% of messages will result in a response.

Whilst you may have a cut and paste response there should be some personalisation, use the Guests name and the name of their event, but don't write an essay.

Celebrate what makes your venue unique.

What can I do?

✉️ Send lots of messages - Not every message will get a response so it's important to send plenty (We recommend at least 10 a day). This isn't dating, you're not waiting for 'the one'.  The more the merrier.

⏰ Make it a habit - Make it part of your routine to check in and see which new leads have come in, being the first to respond to a new lead often puts you in good stead.

💬 Be efficient - Write out a strong message that you can use as a general template. Copy, paste and personalise to the event you're pitching for. Easy!

💪 Own it - Have one person monitor the Lead Feed to make sure that it is being checked regularly and become your venue's go-to on all things Lead Feed!

📊 Hone In - Have a look at the insights tab to help monitor your progress & celebrate your wins. Check it out here!

Frequently asked questions

How do I filter the leads I see in Lead Feed?

Use the filters under the preferences tab, to find the most relevant leads for your venue.

You can currently filter by:

  • Maximum capacity
  • Minimum budget
  • Event type

If you only have smaller Spaces, set your maximum capacity to filter out irrelevant leads. If you have a larger Space, you might want to set your minimum budget higher to find larger events. You can even set up custom email notifications for when a lead meets your preferences. Read on to find out how.

How do I set up notifications to match my preferences?

We don't want you to miss a single relevant lead, so be sure to set up custom email notifications. You'll receive an email whenever a lead comes in that is relevant to your venue. Here's how you set them up:

1. Log in to the Enquiry Hub
2. Click 'Manage Notifications'
3. Set a minimum budget and/or a maximum capacity

That's it! Whenever a Guest submits an enquiry with a budget that meets your minimum requirements or a capacity under your maximum limit, you'll receive an instant email notification.

How do I let a Guest know you want to host their event?

Each lead can receive responses from up to 5 Host venues, so you need to be quick! Leads come into the Lead Feed instantly with the newest at the top, showing basic details including type, budget, capacity and date.

When you see a relevant lead, click the 'Send Message' button.

A window will slide into view on the right-hand side of your screen where you can select the Space you wish to put forward and also include a personalised message.

We recommend that you add a targeted and personalised message to set your venue apart from others that are also expressing an interest. When you're done crafting your message, click 'Send Message'. The Guest will receive an email notification letting them know you want to host their event.

What happens after you send a message to a lead?

You've expressed your interest in a lead in the Lead Feed. How do you know if the Guest is interested in proceeding with your venue?

Guests will review all the messages they have received from Host venues. If the Guest wishes to request a full proposal from your venue, you will receive an email notification to let you know. To convert this enquiry to a confirmed booking, you can proceed with your own sales process if preferred. Simply swap details and sell!
